Behind the Blog

For as long as I can remember, early in my childhood, I have had an intrinsic desire and ability to make things beautiful, whether it’s through my personal style, the way I design, arrange and care for my home, or how I approach life itself. Some of my earliest memories are of keeping my room tidy and my mother eventually getting me a canopy bed that I for the longest dreamed of. It was a personal goal that everything was neatly organized, and color coded from my Disney princess collections to Lisa Frank stationary, and my Guess jeans collection. While my siblings, cousins and neighborhood children were outside playing, I much rather preferred to stay inside, avoiding dirt, and instead spent my time immersed in arts and crafts, sorting pencils and crayons. For me, anything with sparkles, pretty journals, coloring books, dolls, and fun DIY projects were the equivalent of the technology that captivates today’s children.

There is something magical about seeing the potential for art in everyday moments. I have always felt a calling to express that—both for my own fulfillment and to inspire others as I aged out of my love for my Easy Bake Oven and American Girl Addy doll. The realization that my unique perspective, passions, and multidimensional gifts could bring not only to me, but joy to others finally ignited and kept the spark lit here to press publish this time. I know that I wasn’t simply given these abilities for my own enjoyment, as only what you do for Christ will last, my gifts are a blessing meant to touch others in meaningful ways.

I am fondly a self-proclaimed quaintrelle—a woman who embraces a life of passion, expressed through personal style, leisurely pastimes, and the cultivation of life’s pleasures. With a zeal to find beauty in the mundane and living in a way that is both authentic and graceful, my blog is tool that I invite others to step into, this world of intention, elegance, and creativity to cultivate a personal sense of style, joy, and purpose. I am fully aware that this is a time of an overdue awakening, for myself, as I sincerely trust that I was created for such a time as this—seeking to uplift through beauty, grace, and life meaning reflects the fullness of who I am.

In creating this space, I hope to document my life happenings, inspire others to embrace their own creative gifts and nurture a life filled with passion and purpose. We are all here for a reason, and our unique talents and perspectives are meant to be shared with the world, don’t keep them to yourself.

This journey is both personal and universal—because the world needs more beauty, more love, more peace and joy, and more women who are unapologetically themselves.

Hello world.

Here I am.

A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. — Proverbs 18:16
