Rewriting Your Story: Part 1 Embracing Divine Order

In the tapestry of life, there are threads that weave through our existence, some bright and joyous, others darker and challenging. These threads, I have come to understand, are often part of a larger, divine order—an order that sometimes reveals itself through events we unfortunately cannot control.

Two such events have shaped my perspective from a tender age—the loss of my biological father when I was just four, and tragically, the passing of my older brother at the age of eight. These moments, like the sourest lemons ever in the garden of life, still seem unfair, overwhelming and a great deal of disappointment. Yet, consequent to these life happenings and in time, I have learned that embracing faith in God has been my anchor in navigating these storms to date as I continue to grow and still often wonder what life for my family, and I would like had these impactful deaths not occurred.

Life, as I have been blessed to experience, unfolds with both intended paths and unexpected detours. Through grief and curiosity, I have been able to find some solace in accepting that there are many events and life happenings beyond the human influence. It is in this acceptance that true peace resides.

As I continue to evolve personally and professionally, this space — now a reflection of my journey, serves as a canvas to illustrate my growth, share lifestyle insights, and showcase the creative services entrusted to me by my clients of Dressed In Details where I share my gift with the world as a Floral Designer. It is not merely a testament to my faith, but also a measure of my personal endeavor to show up more consistently and disciplined and a reminder to always dream big.

Central to my journey is the understanding that growth often requires letting go of past versions of oneself. It’s a realization that resonates deeply with me—it is fine to falter, for each stumble is a step toward growth and wisdom.

Creativity, in all its forms, holds a pivotal place in my life. It has been the essence that fuels my aspirations and shapes my endeavors. For me, creativity isn’t just a skill but now a way of life through floral design and writing—a tool for expression, innovation, and connection.

I invite you to reflect: What is essential in your life? Is it faith, creativity, resilience, or perhaps something else entirely? Whatever it may be, embracing these essentials can guide us through life’s uncertainties and joys alike.

Ultimately, this life journey reminds me that everything happens in its own time. A realization that brings comfort in times of uncertainty and hope in moments of despair. As I strive to use my gifts to their fullest and remain unafraid to pivot, when necessary, I encourage you to do the same.

For in embracing divine order, we find not only acceptance but also the courage to embrace life in all its complexities. Even those sour lemons that we can only hope to make the sweetest lemonade of this lifetime.

Life does not have to be beautiful to be perfect.
